Worship

We want you to be a part of worship at First Baptist. Our times together are special moments of singing, praying, giving, and preaching. Our focus each week is on exalting the name of Jesus Christ. We use hymns and worship songs in a variety of styles and instrumentations to declare the goodness and greatness of our God.

Our Sanctuary Choir is open to all adults who enjoy singing. No audition or musical experience is required. This choir sings in the morning worship services each week and performs special concerts throughout the year.

The Sanctuary Choir also presents seasonal programs at Christmas and Easter.

Choir members who desire additional involvement are often featured in solos and ensembles during the morning and evening worship times.

The Student Choir sings occasionally in congregational worship throughout the choir season. Student Choir rehearses at 5:00 PM on Sunday afternoons.

Children's Choirs

Children's choirs are for students in grades pre-K-5th grades.  These students incorporate worship arts such as singing, movement, and drama / rhythm as they lead in worship. These groups rehearse each Sunday afternoon @ 6:30 PM.

Worship Band

The Worship Band plays for both morning and evening worship services. The group rehearses on Wednesdays @ 7:30 PM, Sunday mornings @ 8:30 AM, & Sunday evenings @ 6:00 PM in the Worship Center. Players must be able to sight read music of a medium difficulty level due to the large amount of music required and the limited rehearsal time available.

Interested musicians should contact Troy Cates, Minister of Worship for more information.
